ALS MARINE Ltd and IFREMER Performed Successful Pressure Tests of a Cylindrical Housing out of CFRP at 406 bar (4060 m depth). The pressure tests were conducted on 17th and 18th of November on IFREMER's premises, in Brest, France. Read the newsletter.

Als Marine attended MariMatch 2010, an international brokerage forum for the shipbuilding, machinery and marine technology sectors. The event took place on the 9th of September 2010 in Hamburg.
MariMatch 2010 was organized by the Enterprise Europe Network parallel to the world's leading shipbuilding fair, SMM 2010 (Shipbuilding, Machinery & Marine technology international trade fair) which took place from 7-10th September 2010.
After numerous meetings with exhibitors, ALS MARINE succeeded in establishing new cross-border contacts for future collaboration and finding new partners.

ALS MARINE attended COMPOSITES EUROPE, the 6th European trade fair and forum for Composites, Technology and Applications, from 27 – 29 September 2010 in Essen.
COMPOSITES EUROPE 2010 is the most innovative fair in the strongest composites market with 300 exhibitors from 25 different nations presenting over 3,000 products and trade fair visitors coming from 62 different countries.
ALS MARINE took advantage of this major industry platform for information exchange within the industry and successfully came away with new contacts and potential collaborations.  In particular, special interest was shown and contacts made in the materials sector and in quality control for composite material constructions.

ALS MARINE Ltd was an exhibitor at this year’s Oceanology International (Oi10) conference in London. Almost over 200 visitors stopped by our exhibiting booth where our representatives informed them of our products and services.
As the premier event of its type, Oceanology International (OI) attracts more engineers, technical specialists and senior industry managers than any other Marine Science and Ocean Technology event in the world, offering an outstanding mix of visitor numbers but more importantly visitor quality. OI hosts over 500 suppliers of products and services from around the world and is attended by over 6600 attendees from 89 different countries.

There presenting an innovative solution, ALS MARINE Ltd introduced the application of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) in pressure hulls for underwater vehicles and also in vessel housing for electronic and electrical equipment.

A conference regarding “Swedish Security Systems” was held at the Divani Caravel Hotel in Athens, Greece on 17th March 2010 by the Swedish Embassy and the Swedish Trade Council. ALS MARINE attended as the exclusive distributor of the Swedish company LYNN AB in Greece, Cyprus, Romania, Albania and the U.A.E.
This conference was held to inform visitors of innovative applications in the security section from leading Swedish companies such as Lynn AB, Assa Abloy, Gunnebo, Seccredo and also Speed-Identity.
A speaker from the Ministry of Citizen Protection informed the audience of the current situation and the prospects available in the security section.
The President of LYNN, Mr. Bengt Sahlberg was there to present activities and products of the company.
Mr. Bengt Sahlberg and Mr. Spyros Volonakis, General Director of ALS MARINE, also had the opportunity to converse with a large number of interested parties about LYNN AB’s products.
Present at this conference was also the Ambassador of Sweden in Greece, Mr. Håkan Malmqvist.
This conference successfully generated great interest and was attended by more than 170 visitors.
